How to Disable Notifications Sounds on Facebook

Ding, Chime, Chirp, Ding, Ding!  It was really driving me crazy!   All the noise, noise, noise, noise.  I felt like the Grinch with all the noise from Whoville.grinch

It is all the notifications from Facebook.  I’m on Facebook quite a bit networking and getting leads.  You can click HERE to watch this video to see how I get leads on Facebook.  Before about a week ago, I don’t remember hearing all the sounds coming from Facebook.  Not sure what happened, but I know I have to turn them off.

rice krispytreatsThis past weekend, I made Rice Krispie Treats for my daughter’s volleyball team.  My daughter and her friends think my Rice Krispies are the best.  And  some moms agree that they are better then they’ve had before.  The moms are asking what I do different that makes them so good.

The funny thing is that I just follow the recipe.  Maybe a few more marsh mellows and a little less Rice Krispies, but for the most part I just follow the recipe.

But for some reason, my Rice Krispies are amazing!

Listen to What…Not Always How

Gurus, experts or experienced marketers are constantly giving you advice on what to do to build a successful business.  They are giving you this advice based on what they’ve been taught and what worked for them.

Most of the advice is similar with a slight twist on it from whatever marketer/expert is giving the advice.  I’d spend wasted time trying to do what the experts would say.  Then I’d beat myself up and feel guilty because I couldn’t do what they said.

STOP THE MADNESS!

Walt Disney World or Bust… BUSTED!

A few years ago…ok more like 5 years ago, after listening to a training about internet marketing and setting goals, I was pumped up!  You know how it is right after you listen or watch a really good training, how you’re ready to take on the world and tell everyone about it…  at least for a good hour before reality and doubt set in.

How To Create Quick Videos Using Your Cell Phone

It’s easy to make excuses not to make videos.  It’s too hard, I don’t have the right equipment, I don’t know what I’m doing, I’ll look like an idiot.

Well, we are going to get rid of all of those excuses by showing you how to create quick cell phone videos, upload them to Youtube and put them on your blog.

myfreezervideoThe easiest way to record your video using your camera is to hold it at arms length, record and talk.  The other way is to put your cell phone on a stand or tripod.

And if you don’t have a tripod or stand, then you can be creative…or a little trashy.  This is a picture of what I did to record my videos before I bought a tripod.

I used painters tape and taped my phone to the freezer.  I then taped my script around it and started recording.  It wasn’t pretty but it got the job done. Read the rest of this entry

This is a reprint from a blog post I did from my first blog.  It still applies.

Whitewater RaftingEarlier this week I went white water rafting in Washington State. There were 5 people in the raft with a guide/instructor. We were asked if we wanted to go over a 14′ waterfall, told the pros and cons and given about a minute to make up our minds… Read the rest of this entry

Are You Afraid To Fail?

Human beings are funny.  Everything can be going great, knocking tasks off our to do list and the next minute….no motivation, can’t sit down at the computer.  And when I do sit down at the computer, I accomplish nothing on my to do list.  This was how the last couple of weeks has gone for me.
