It is all the notifications from Facebook. I’m on Facebook quite a bit networking and getting leads. You can click HERE to watch this video to see how I get leads on Facebook. Before about a week ago, I don’t remember hearing all the sounds coming from Facebook. Not sure what happened, but I know I have to turn them off.
This past weekend, I made Rice Krispie Treats for my daughter’s volleyball team. My daughter and her friends think my Rice Krispies are the best. And some moms agree that they are better then they’ve had before. The moms are asking what I do different that makes them so good.
The funny thing is that I just follow the recipe. Maybe a few more marsh mellows and a little less Rice Krispies, but for the most part I just follow the recipe.
But for some reason, my Rice Krispies are amazing!
So am I supposed to go out and buy things I can’t afford or what? How can I ACT successful when I am NOT successful. That’s what I used to think when I’d hear this statement.
Well, I’d like to clarify what is meant when you hear “Act like you are Successful”, even before you have received the material things of success.
If you read about or talk to anyone who has achieved lasting success, they are doing things YOU can do right now no matter your level of success.
Do you feel like people are always trying to sell you something during a training session? What’s the selling all about. Sure people are trying to make a buck but what else is going on. You should watch this.
I used to scoff at this “self improvement” and mindset stuff. I didn’t need that. Really?
Every expert you listen to or learn from online will tell you that they read books or do something to continue learning and making themselves better. If they are doing it, why would you scoff at it?
So after rejecting it for years or doing if half way, I jumped in and started reading, listening and watching.
At first I only did it 15 minutes a day. But I wasn’t seeing any real improvement. Then a mentor mentioned I should submerge myself into improving myself. Listen and read for hours a day.
HOURS? I don’t have time for that. That was my initial reaction. But I also believed I needed to get out of my own way and stop making excuses. Here’s some ideas on how you can fit in hours of reading, listening and watching into your day. Continue reading
Gurus, experts or experienced marketers are constantly giving you advice on what to do to build a successful business. They are giving you this advice based on what they’ve been taught and what worked for them.
Most of the advice is similar with a slight twist on it from whatever marketer/expert is giving the advice. I’d spend wasted time trying to do what the experts would say. Then I’d beat myself up and feel guilty because I couldn’t do what they said.
STOP THE MADNESS!
You can’t be online for 10 minutes and not hear the same things from the famous experts and not so famous experts. Things like: Continue reading
A few years ago…ok more like 5 years ago, after listening to a training about internet marketing and setting goals, I was pumped up! You know how it is right after you listen or watch a really good training, how you’re ready to take on the world and tell everyone about it… at least for a good hour before reality and doubt set in.
How many times have you come across training that you say to yourself when you’re done going through it “I’m not doing that because it might not work?” or “I heard that doesn’t work anymore?” (And this is assuming you actually go through the training you bought).
You’ve already decided that it’s not going to work WITHOUT taking action and trying it for yourself. Who said it wouldn’t work? If you really are truthful in answering that question, you’ll soon realize that the people saying this or that won’t work are the people who have never done it. Continue reading
