How to achieve a goal successfully of course requires taking action. However, many people who view this as common sense, don’t end up taking action.

Why not?

Because the first step of taking action, the getting started part, is hard! And most of us wait until we feel motivated to start which never comes.

In this training, I’ll be sharing with you how to get yourself to start taking action, be an action taker consistently, fit it into your lifestyle and the importance of taking action for your business and your life.

If you’re looking for ways on how to start taking action in your business, this resource will help you get started on social media finding prospects that want what you have. And you can get started right away.

Become An Action Taker

By becoming an action taker, you’ll not only achieve your goals but you’ll also build self confidence, reduce worrying, stop overwhelm and anxiety.

And all this can be done by taking small action steps consistently. You may have heard you have to take MASSIVE ACTION in order to achieve anything. Well, I call BS. Many of us have lives outside our business which include family, other responsibilities, jobs, so we aren’t able to shut ourselves away and work 24×7.

There is a lot of advice on how to take action, including my post you’re reading right now. Everyone giving you advice on action taking is sharing with you what has worked for them. And the only way we figured that out was to try different ways to take action. You need to do the same thing.

For instance, in order to get started taking consistent action, I’ll tell you that you need to have some techniques to use to go from doing nothing to doing something. What works for me is The 5 Second Rule from Mel Robbins and replacing my “limiting beliefs” with “power beliefs”.

The 5 Second Rule is simply counting backwards 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and getting yourself to move. Mel has a great book on this by the same name.

Limiting beliefs are those beliefs that are in your head that may sound like “Why should I start since I’ll never accomplish my goals” or “I’m not smart enough to build my own online business”. Powerful beliefs are a comeback for those limiting thoughts like “I know I can accomplish my goals by taking consistent action” or “I’m smart enough to build my own online business and I’m excited to achieve huge success”.

These are techniques that work for me and I encourage you to try them (and I mean for more than 1 or 2 days), but if they don’t work for you that is no reason to give up on your goals. You just look for other techniques that work better for you.

Try different action steps until you find the ones that work best for you!

Importance Of Taking Action

The importance of taking action isn’t how perfect the action is, it’s the fact that you took action. Who cares if it’s perfect! Just continue to take small consistent actions that are moving you toward your goal.

For example, if you want to clean out your closet but you know that it’ll take you an entire day to do it, it can be overwhelming so you never start.

But if you just take 5 things out of the closet a day and decide what to do with them, eventually you’ll have the entire closet cleaned out. And on some days, after you’ve taken 5 things out of the closet, you’ll feel so motivated that you may decide to take out another 5 or 10 things.

Motivation is not something that gets you to take action, it is a RESULT of taking action and it keeps you going.

Steps for Taking Action

Here are some steps you can use to start taking action and achieving your goals:

  1. START – Use The 5 Second Rule or JUST MOVE! This is definitely the hardest part but you got this.
  2. PLAN YOUR DAY – At the beginning of your week, plan out your week based on your life for that week. Decide what action steps you’ll take toward your goals. Then each day, plan your day and decide specifically WHAT you are going to do to accomplish your goals. Remember these actions can be small each day.
  3. BUILD YOUR BELIEF in yourself and your goals by having a morning routine that includes: affirmations, meditation, visualizing your goals, personal development (book, video, podcast) and gratitude

Learning how to achieve a goal successfully by taking action is a process not an event. It will require you to change and learn a few things, but it is absolutely doable. YOU GOT THIS!
